DLR & NASA: Research for the space travel of the future
The starting signal for the "Sensorimotor Countermeasures Study" (SMC) was given on September 23, 2024.
In this bed rest study, DLR and US NASA are investigating how longer space missions affect astronauts and what measures can be taken.

The SMC study will mainly be carried out at :envihab, the research facility of the DLR Institute of Aerospace Medicine, in Cologne and will last approximately 3 months. The results should provide significant new insights for space travel and space medicine.
Festive award as part of the German Design Council's Design Gala 2024
The German Design Council is Germany's design and brand authority. On November 7, 2024, it celebrated this year's publication "The Major German Brands 2025 - pushing circular design.", in which Apollo Dion was also included, at a festive dinner at Soho House in Berlin.
Apollo Dion is delighted to be included in the circle of major German brands and to be recognized for its achievements in circular design. Design is an important lever for the circular transformation of the economy - a cause to which Apollo Dion has consistently committed itself.
The English-language publication tells the success stories of pioneering brands in the field of circular design. The circular management of Apollo Dion GmbH is exemplified by the development of the medical allergy care HYPOGEN CARE, the athleceuticals of DYNADION and the veterinary animal care of DOCTRs pet care. This year's award and publication were once again organized in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection.
The publication includes comprehensive, journalistically prepared presentations on the major German brands as well as informative reflections by various personalities on the importance of brand and circular design. "The Major German Brands" reflects the entire spectrum of excellent brand management. The 2025 edition is a collaboration with Callwey Verlag and is available in stores.
